Opening Day!

Hi everyone, welcome to The Sinking Lure! For the last few weeks, Luca and I have been working really hard on getting this place ready to open. I was afraid it'd take another week for me to finish up the regional map threads and beginner's guide, but we pulled it out in the end!

I've collected a lot of the cool features so that people joining can find them more easily:

Non-RP Things:

Luca made two themes for the site, a light and dark mode. If you haven't set a permanent theme in your forum settings, you can click the "Theme" button along the top bar to toggle between them.

We have a Discord server here. The server will act as a place to chat and set up RP threads, but we're hoping most focus remains on the forum.

RP Things:

The forum takes place exclusively in the Hyrule map found in Tears of the Kingdom. This includes the land, sky, and depths, all separated into provinces. The story of the forum begins within a couple years of the events of TotK, after the game ends. Things have shifted slightly, but are still almost entirely within the bounds found at the end of the game. You can find more information about the maps in the map depository.

Character creation is intended to be as easy as possible so that new players can fit into the community without much friction. Everything is played through one single account, and each player's characters are stored within your own character threads.

The site is still pretty new, and I'm not exactly the most thorough administrator, so there could be huge gaps I'm not noticing. If you see anything that's missing, or something in one of these threads is unclear, please let me know, and I'll be happy to fix it.
